The application: a film about beantragt.ai

Why we made this film
We recorded the film to show the municipal application process in beantragt.ai from start to finish. It begins with converting an old PDF form within minutes, continues with applications submitted through several channels and ends with the notice. The film guides viewers through the real application instead of leaving them alone with a demo. Our guest article in Kommune21 explains the difference between a digital form and a digital process.
What the film shows
The film shows two ways to a notice. For the dog tax, the application is sent encrypted via FIT-Connect to the case system, which is simulated in the demo. The residents’ parking permit needs no case system, and beantragt.ai generates the notice and the permit directly from the department’s Word template. In both cases a caseworker checks the notice before it is released. Every letter in the procedure is created the same way, from the acknowledgement of receipt to the notice.
Applications come in through the portal, the website or the AI assistant. Departments create the forms themselves from existing PDFs. The AI drafts a form in a minute, and nothing is published before a person has checked it.
The film is just under five minutes long, in German, with chapters, a transcript and German and English subtitles.
