Agentic AI Hub: piloting with Erfurt and Solingen

The German Federal Ministry for Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation (BMDS) has started the second round of its Agentic AI Hub. Until mid-December 2026, 38 municipalities are testing 17 AI solutions from start-ups and scale-ups in their day-to-day administrative work. Civic Patches takes part with AI-supported request and issue management, together with the state capital Erfurt and the city of Solingen.

The pilot is based on Mark-a-Spot. Residents report damage and concerns. The AI suggests the right category and prepares the reports for processing. The administration makes the decisions and replies.

„Der Erfolg und die hohe Nachfrage zeigen, dass wir mit dem Agentic AI Hub weiter auf dem richtigen Weg sind“, says Thomas Jarzombek, Parliamentary State Secretary at the BMDS, in the press release announcing the second round (German original).
